An LA-based clothing and home-goods retailer manufactures everything in Los Angeles themselves and hosts a ton of events and community programming, but their operations are spread out across the city. They wanted to create a new shop that would gather everything under one roof.
They had already signed a lease on a new space, and had even started on preliminary construction and demolition, so the timeline was tight.
The building they were moving to was a typical bow truss warehouse with loadbearing masonry walls. The landlord had already started building out the infrastructure for a generic Tenant Improvement by the time we got involved. We were contending with this rough, beautiful old structure on one hand, and slapdash drywall on the other.
